Experience with Tesco Finest Express Dakota large Leather Sofa

If I have posted this thread in the wrong place may god forgive me and not strike me down!!!!!

I am after a good sofa for not alot of money and have found this Tesco Finest express Dakota large leather sofa reduced from £1,099 to £439.60 - http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.203-9428.aspx

Has anyone had any experience of this range of sofas? I have phone CS and they advise that the frame is "solid wood" but that is about all they can tell me other than I cannot send it back unless it is faulty.


Any other suggestions people may have for a fairly large leather sofa which is kid proof feel free to let me know.

I would say that you need to 'try before you buy' i.e. go into a showroom. We bought a suit from Tesco it looked good but was really uncomfortable, fortunately we discovered a fault (the wooden support in the arm of the chair was not attached) so they took it back

We then trawled around the showrooms

In the end we went to a factory outlet in S!!!!horpe and bought a really comfortable suite - faux suede which we saw later in a showroom for 3x the price we paid

Did you buy the tesco finest dakota sofa? If so what do you think of it? I have seen it on offer at half price and am tempted!!
