Paypal dispute..

I bought an item (jeans) on 17.11, paid for immediately, but have never received them. I waited for 10 days or so before I contacted the seller to see if they'd posted them, but never heard anything back.

On 5.12 I opened a paypal dispute claiming non receipt, and elevated it to a claim on 15.12 as I still hadn't heard a thing from the seller.

Paypal advised that they would have an answer for me by 04.01, but emailed me on Sunday to say that they needed more time to investigate, grrr.
The seller seems to have provided a tracking number to paypal, but the number is invalid according to RM.
How much longer will this refund take? Because its taken longer than paypal said, is it possible that they might not find in my favour?

Thanks

Call paypal today, they appear to be massively overworled and only seem to deal with things when they have someone on the phone.

We had a similar thread yesterday or the day before and in that case as soon as the buyer spoke to paypal on the phone they had their refund appear in their account.

Don't worry about that, it is always best to start a new thread if the question is from a different person otherwise your problems might have bene overlooked. I didn't mean to suggest you should have added to that thread, I merely mentioned it as the result was immediate, and I found that interesting.

He who shouts loudest gets paypal's attention first it seems.

Rang them.. and got refund immediately!

Thanks so much.. would you leave the seller a neg? I've never left one before.. but a) the item didn't arrive, and b) there was absolutely NO contact to any email.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

Due to the no contact I might consider a neg or maybe a neutral at best. Items do get lost and I would never neg or neutral a seller due to that, but having to go through a paypal chargeback for a refund would make me very cross indeed.

I have left a neutral. The seller doesn't seem to have been active on ebay since Nov, so maybe they have had personal problems or something.
Now I've got my money back I can afford to be generous!

Thanks so much for all your help.
