wardrobe depth

i notice ikea wardrobes are either 66 or 43 cm deep. there is only £10 difference in the cost. 43cm would mean more room space, but could compromise storage space? anyone got experience of wardrobe size?

Guess the depth would be handy to not scrunch up the hanging clothes.

But you might need to think about the depth of the alcove, or gap it's to go into - save sticking out into the room as much?
