How to pay the Courts?

Me & the OH are going BR next week. How did everyone pay the court? Was it with cash, as i dont have a Chq book. And while im here whats the maximum you can pull out on a Co-op card each day?

  • hello you pay cash on the day you attend court and i think its £300 a day you can withdraw but someone please correct me.(i never have that much money in there so dont really know lol)

    Yep, cold hard cash, they don't accept cards or cheques, especially for bankruptcy.

    I thinks it's £250 per day each.

  • Thanks everyone! Just planning on getting the cash in time. With me and OH both going BR, it's alot of money, so have to pull it out in installements.

    It is £250 per day, and cash only £495 for the courts
  • You mean the courts wont take one of my cheques!!!

    Do they think im gonna go bankrupt on them or something!!!!!!

    It's cash only and at the court I went to they checked each note invidually through a forgery machine. Took me and all the people watching me file for bankruptcy by surprise!
  • Cash only and it's usually between £250 and £300 per day from a cash machine but more if you go into the bank.

    Our money wasn't checked though. Maybe that depends on the level of forgery in your area?? We live in the North East.

    Yep - cash only, Coop limit £250 per day. I would also recommend taking all money out of bank account just in case. Leave enough for any direct debits you may have set up though.
