:A
7 steps to a heavenly me (or you).

I know I don't drink nearly enough water, eat enough fruit or do enough exercise. I eat too much chocolate and consume too many calories.

I'm not going to do the silly diets... I'm going to follow a "healthy diet".
I DON'T HAVE MUCH MONEY (who does) SO MEALS WILL BE AS CHEAP AS POSSIBLE AND EXERCISE WILL BE FREE OR AS GOOD AS!!!
:money:

I will (not aim to) WILL
*drink at least 8 glasses of water a day.
*get my 5 a day everyday.
*always have breakfast.
*cut out caffeine, chocolate sweets and fizzy drinks.
*do 30 min exercise everyday.
*sleep more - even if it means going to bed early...
*let you all know what I eat every day, what exercise  ;) I did and if I lost weight... so I can't cheat! :rotfl:

I will save 50p each day I complete all of the above.
At the end I will spend the money I save on  meeeee!
(after all I did the hard work!!!)

I'm going to start writing up meal plans exercise etc tomorrow (today) and if anyone wishes to join me or show support feel free.

  • Good luck Kim - Great time to start on the path to a new you - you deserve it. I'm going to be trying all these things too. The only things on your list that I don't do are the caffeine (as I don't drink much coffee and have switched to mostly Rooibos caffeine free tea) and the fizzy drinks which I cannot stand.
You clearly need to get to bed earlier than you are doing!

  • Sounds like a perfect idea to me, I hate hearing about all these people on faddy diets, the results never last! A complete lifestyle change is great though and remember, you don't have to completly cut out your sweeties and treats, just eat in moderation, theres no point in completly giving up something you love! You'll only crave it more!

Sounds like your 2009 will be off to a great start!

  • Kim,
Gosh - I would be ever so grateful - Thank you! I will pm you my address.
I am not doing so well on the healthy lifestyle at the moment - just coming off antibiotice and taste buds have gone bananas - you know - in that "I'm not sure what I want" kind of way that makes you eat anything!

I am going to try adding good things in rather than focusing on taking bad things out - e.g drinking more water, more fruit...then see what happens.

    Happy New Year!

I've just finished 2008 without a drop of alcohol. My challenge for 2009 is to quit caffeine because it makes me depressed and anxious.

Good luck to all of you with your goals this year.

    Ed.

He-he... not a great start to the year!
I'm full of cold and feel awful!!!!!!!
I have managed a bagel with philadelphia and a glass of orange juice.
Had about 20 glasses of water ha-ha!
    Oh and a few grapes.
Just now I've has a cup of tea oops it wasn't decaf.

Since I never weighed myself before hand I wouldn't know if I lost or gained!

I didn't stick to the rules but I'll save my 50p on account of me being ill! :P

Hopefully tomorrow will work out better!
    HAPPY NEW YEAR XXX
