First Holiday Abroad - Where to go in Spain

We are hoping to go on our first holiday abroad thinking of Costa Del Sol area, in August, anyone any recommendations. It will be 2 adults and 13 yr son, don't want somewhere too noisy but plenty to keep son occupied.
