nightmare buyer

sorry its a bit long!

am looking for advice my FIL asked me to list a trailer for him which we did, stated all sizes etc etc inc detailed pics of item. buyer won item and after a few days turned up to buy, as soon as he arrived he was huffing and moaning that he wasnt sure if his quad would fit! too bad you bid you won you buy! he was out with his tape and was not impressed that we werent having any of his haggling. anyway he eventually paid and left. 10 hours later he msg to say trailer had unhitched and he wasnt happy, he states trailer unhitched within 10 miles but that did not stop him travelling back home over an hour away! (sorry but if it was me i would have went back to sellers house not home!)

we have been getting abusive emails, phonecalls and msg through ebay non stop. have reported to ebay but nothing back yet. well he is trying to be clever and has another account so keeps buying my items on BIN and then telling me i have to travel to forth road bridge to drop them off! he would not reply to my msg regarding courier and i relisted the items after no response. i have checked and both names are registered to same postcode, area and same number. i have also just recieved neg feedback for the items saying he has not recieved them and he hasnt paid so how can he do this???? can i respond to his neg feedback help please !!!

  • You can get the negatives removed as he has bid just to leave negative feedback and this is against the rules.

trailer was not dodgy was in perfect working order and has been used regularly. if there was a problem why did he not phone or travel the 8 miles back to my house rather than travel nearly 2 hours away to his home???

buyer is unhappy as his quad wont fit and nothing to do with condition of the trailer, he had every chance to view before bidding but did not. Also what gives him the right to use different names to bid on my other items when he has no intention of paying for them them leaving neg feedback stating he has not recieved the items???

  • I think there is a way you can get him done for malicious bidding with sole intention to leave a negative feedback... maybe he'll get the boot off ebay

Not sure if this is useful, but you could try reporting them for shill bidding.

However, I reported one, with the eBay user ids of suspected shill bidding, but the user is still there. They only left feedback to themselves and nothing for other buyers, also offered 2nd chance offers to most of his items sold at the same time...

  • If he didn't pay by paypal then your balance is safe. He must have started a dispute with ebay, that's really all hot air.
