Hi All,
I have some existing laminate flooring that I would like to waterproof. The guy who laid it said that I can buy a PVA like product that would coat it to prevent water water entering the joins.
However I have not been able to find such a product. Has anyone seen such a product?
Thanks,
Pete.

all laminate is "waterproof" to some degree. some of it is sold esp for bathrooms & kitchens.
ive never heard of anyone trying to make it more waterproof. silicon sealer is the obvious answer if you wanted to try it.
my personal advice is not to use laminate in any area where water is a potential problem. ie i would never use it in the bathroom nor the kitchen.
proper tiles are the real answer there.Get some gorm.0 -
Most laminate flooring of good quality is water resistant. A little bit of water getting into the joints isn't going to do much damage. Just make sure any spills are mopped up straight away.0

What about Thomson's Waterseal?
My DH used it on our bathroom floor (two coats) before the vinyl flooring went down0
