New seal for oven door

The seal has gone on the oven door for my integrated Whirpool oven, is it possible to buy a new seal on it's own?

what a coincidence(sort of), i have a cda oven which needed two door seals, i phoned up a local repair shop who quoted me £23+vat each seal, looked on flea bay and found a link to a site which waned £13 each plus postage, eventually found the manufacturers website(ive never heard of CDA ovens), asked to speak to the spares dept and ordered BOTH seals for £13 including the postage, thats a pretty substantial saving, phone whirlpool directly and order he part from them, most manufacturers will supply direct to the public
  • or you could try

http://www.espares.co.uk/ who have every spare under the sun for most appliances
  • How easy are they to fit?

without knowing your model of oven i would say easy peasy, some door seals use sprung clips to secure , its worth asking if they are included wih the seal
  • Thanks all, I'll find out the model number and then try Whirlpool or some of the other sites recommended...

If you cannot find the book for the model number, you'll find the number on the plate where the electric connects.
  • Got the model number (AKP509) but the seal available on some websites looks the same as the one that's already on the oven itself, I was after one for the door rather then the oven???

Googled AKP509 door seal and this was the result. Any good for you?
  • Not sure?! I've just rung Whirlpool and they said they don't make them for the door section itself, they only one's they make go on the oven itself, but the problem with the oven is that the door doesn't shut properly and heat is escaping.
