Hello,
I have about €1000 which I want to convert into £GB.
Where is the best place for me to do this to get the best deal?
Any advice really appreciated...
Many thanks,
Loid
PS - I asked this in the Euros thread, too, but wasn't sure whether it was the correct place...

Perhaps wait as the Euro seems to be getting stronger.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

.....or offer it to someone going abroad, £900's worth - lucky you, what rate did you pay for it??
Hopefully a decent profit for you.

We need the money, really, so want to exchange it now.
I didn't buy the Euros, they were payment for a gig my boyfriend did in Spain so we're quids in, so to speak!
Any more ideas about where to get the best rate? I always use M&S to buy Euros... Will they be a good bet to sell them too?0 -
...did you find a good rate? I have been looking for couple of days, but it seems to be so much easier to buy Euros than to sell them, that I am starting to tear my hair out... Someone give me a comparison tool for selling Euros back please!! (Especially since I don't get them in UK in the first place, so I can't "take them back"....)

I think you must have been looking in the wrong place - you won't (generally) find buy rates online as it's going to cost you a fiver insured mail to send them back.
Your local High Street is the place to look - I'd try M&S and Thos Cook if you don't want to trog round them all.0
