I have been made BR of 11.25 am this am. My experience was very efficient and speedy. Im still letting it all sink in , as i have been mulling this over for months.
My question is i came home to a lovely letter from the balliffs regarding council tax. The cort told me i would be contacted by the OR by Monday. Should i call the company and inform them of my BR or do i wait for the OR ?
BTW this site has been an amazing form of support and information, thanks to everyong who has answered my previous posts Holchar

Glad it went ok for you. Might be worth calling the balliffs and giving them your bankruptcy number - just so you know that's it done and dusted. Otherwise, it's just a case of waiting to hear from your OR.Get free advice before embarking on bankruptcy: CCCS 0800 138 1111 National Debtline 0808 808 4000

Agree with Merry
Normally i'd say wait for DCA's etc to phone/contact you and tell them then (saves stamp money etc) but where bailiffs are concerned it might be worth telling them.
:hello:Save a little money each month and at the end of the year you’ll be surprised at how little you have.An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind0 -
Brilliant and well done for getting through it.:cheesy: K2nga :cheesy:

Hi Holchar,
Glad it went well today. Defo phone the bailiff, otherwise they'll come round.
Funny you should get that letter today, bailiffs called at my house the day we went bankrupt!Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -

It cancels everything up to the date of BR, so the OP may have to pay the last few months. But that depends how much the council have sent to bailiffs, if they've been to court for the whole bill that will go into BR, they can't have it both ways.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0
