Energy grants help

Firstly, apologies if this is in the wrong forum - Can someone (Mod) redirect the question and let me know where to look for the responses if it is in the wrong place.

Having found that I qualified for the energy saving grants I have arranged for my loft to be insulated.

I have two questions:

1) How do I find out how much the loft insulation is costing - so that I can work out how much I might have to put towards a replacement boiler -It's not broken but with over 16 years of service it could go any time.

2) Given that BG who are doing the insulation part seem so expensive for boiler installations - Can I use any Corgi installer to do the boiler and if so how do they /me get hold of the balance left on my grant allowance or am I stuck with BG or worse still Eaga (Warmfront) who seem to be increasingly unpopular and inflexible.
