Tempting but I shall proceed with the other option. I'd be scared I'd get arrested for theft or something :rolleyes:

To be honest though there are hundreds of bags I've looked at that only have recorded delivery which as we all know is generally useless but even well established are selling bags for a few hundred pounds and leaving themselves open by only sending it recorded at most. Is there something I dont know?

Have you contacted the seller to try and get them to prove authenticity? I sell expensive designer ladies clothes and accessories on eBay and they are all authentic so I am always happy when people want some sort of proof. They should too.

Ask for a copy of the receipt to be emailed to you. Tell the seller you dont mind the sensitive parts to be scored out (price, exact location of store, credit card details). This is what I do when people want reasssurance and it is quite definitive.

If they cannot provide a receipt, ask for any other method to try and allay your fears. Am happy to have a look at the item online if you wish. Feel free to PM me the item number. Between myself and the wife, we have built a fairly keen eye on spotting designer fakes and could give you our own opinion if you wish.

The best thing though is to contact the seller and express your fears and ask for some way to allay your concern that it could be a fake.
