Hi We ar going to take dad on holiday with us in March but know that travel insurance for his age and health condition can be expensive. Has anyone any suggestions as to who to try for best price? Thanks

Sadly, you didn't mention whether this would be european or worldwide cover.
Nevertheless, try Marks & Spencer who are pretty reasonable. You will need to ring them first with details of yr dad's medical condition first.

American express is great, my gran's 80 she uses them all the time, hope this helps, goodluck

Try Age Concern, they insure when other organisations won't and specialise in gadabout travellors who can't go the Club 18-30 route. Details should be on their website or call your local office which should have an insurance worker. Here's to a happy holiday for you all.

Just been looking for insurance for an 82 year old as well, its not cheap!

marks and spenser now make you take a medical if you have a pre-existing condition, not fun.

We managed to get a quote for £85 for a single trip to canada from American Express which sounds like a fantastic deal to me. Not sure if they are going to cover all osteoporosis as she has had a fall though, we will have to see.

My mom is 80 this year she always goes to Age Concern fo her travel insurance. You do have to go through a medical declaration but they seem to cover most things they might just charge a higher excess in the event of a claim
