phone or letter?

need to inform tax credits my salarys increased,now i hate talking on the phone,is it best to phone them up with change or write to them?,if i write they at least have it written down,or will they phone me anyway if i write to them??

No, if you write to them they have no reason to call you.
Personally I think it is best to call as the letter may get lost in the post.
Remember to take a note of the date & time of the call and the name of the adviser in case of any future queries.0 -
I always phone with changes, and a change in estimated income is normally very quick and easy to do
The other possibility (don't know if it's an option for you) is to get someone else to phone on your behalf. I assume they work like companies I've dealt with on DH's behalf (including Child Benefit) in that when I called I gave them all the account details, then they just spoke to him long enough to get confirmation they could talk to me. If he'd sent in a letter (which I wrote and he signed for a few other places), then they'd have had it on file that a specific person is authorised to deal with them on your behalf in future.Cheryl0 -
