Hi everyone this is my first visit.This is about Credit Card Travel Insurance.I have a Capitol One CC and the Insurance SEEMS fantastic there is no age limit pre existing medical conditions accepted (DVT taking medication) I downloaded the 53 pages and it even includes lost/stolen car keys ,collision damage waiver on hire cars and all the usual covers.As long as your Holiday Payment is made with your card you, your wife and children are covered.Am I being foolish or is this really wonderful cover????? Bob
I've worked for a company offering this type of service;
i'm sure with a big company this will be perfectly legitimate. Just check with the firm... make sure you have a policy number (which may be a general one in the terms and conditions) and also check who underwrites the policy.
The only thing to watch out for is that its not being confused with "travel accident insurance" which is entirely different... this will definetly not cover you enough for a holiday... for example; it would only cover you while "in transit" not actually on the holiday... so you'd be covered while flying and not when you landed!!!
Best advice is to give the provider a ring and ask them directly if their policy is good enough for you not to purchase separate insurance
