Empire - Confused customers thread

Right I can't even find the original Empire thread so I'm starting a new (and more relevant one).
I'm very confused. I've just this morning taken delivery of a mobile phone which I ordered speculatively on Sunday when the Empire thing kicked off on here.
I ordered on a whim, not expecting it to work and forgot about it thereafter.
I didn't give my CC details, didn't receive a confirmation email and didn't at all expect to receive the phone!
Now how am I going to be charged for this phone without them having my CC details??
I got a message 'This item can only be charged to your account' when I ordered the item.
So presumably I have pay off this 'account' I have with them before I start getting whacked with superstore interest rate right??
I am a bit p**sed off with the way Empire have dealt with this order - I even tried accessing the 'My Account' section of the site on Sunday and it asked for my 'customer number' - how am I supposed to have one if I'm new!! I only have one now that I got the receipt with the phone but how the F was I supposed to have known on Sunday?!
Anyway...... can anyone explain how I will be charged and how the whole Empire thing works?! :-/

As you didn't opt to enter a credit/debit card (there IS a button on the order form), you have evidently applied for and successfully obtained a credit account with Empire Stores. You will have provided address details for the last 3 years.
You will get a paper statement within a month and providing you pay in full by the payment date, you won't be charged any interest.
If the above is incorrect, you may have got your goods for £0.00 !British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
The first thing to do is to access your account and see what they have charged you as prices on the website went up todat. Some people have not had discounts applied.
Hope you got what you wanted at the right price.Guest.0 -
OK apologies - mods please pull the plug on this thread ...I've gone to the discussion board..."To be ignorant of one's ignorance is the malady of the ignorant." Amos Bronson Alcott0

Why did you post it THREE TIMES AT LEAST in the first place? There's no benefit posting things multiple times - it just clogs up the site.0
