Direction Hearing Help

Hi to all on this brilliant forum.
Just to give you some background, i went bankrupt at the beginning of October this year.
I had run up quite a few credit card debts due to being off work for 4 months and i was robbing Peter to pay Paul. One of my debts was a bank overdraft with Natwest. Prior to me going bankrupt Natwest applied for a court order and were awarded a monthly payment. When i went bankrupt the Natwest debt was included.
I have now received a court summons for a "Direction Hearing" on Friday. I contacted my OR and they said that that had informed all my debtors that i was bankrupt but i should attend the hearing and take my proof of bankruptcy with me.
My question is; why would they still be pursuing this given that i am bankrupt and can they actually do anything?
Gary

Hi Gary,
It's probably because with most banks the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Departments don't communicate with one another. Nobody has probably told the legal dept. that you're bankrupt!
I do agree with your OR, although it might be worth contacting the solictors beforehand to tell them your BR. If they still insist it goes to court and you tell the judge you've already informed them you're BR they'll get told off for wasting the courts time.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
Get your OR to send proof they where informed, and your proof of BR take it show the court, and ask the judge to award costs to you for wasting your time, it wont be much, and should be reasonable amount to ask for as you can claim about £9 per hour for time spent preparing your defence and attending court. traveling expences and any other costs to you:DThats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all ………….0
