Evidence from the US suggests that Citicard is increasing the APR on all its credit cards.

One blogger claims that

I've been told by a source that these rate-increase letters are being staggered. They're being sent in waves (so that customer-service reps aren't overwhelmed by a crush of phone calls at the same time).

These rate hikes are regardless of the individual's credit rating.

If my rate goes up the card gets closed...

Usually the card company back down or make a nice offer instead
