Section 75 equivalent abroad

Hi,

I have a Mastercard web credit card issued by Fortis in Luxembourg. I used it to pay for a SuperTicket with Speedferries which went into administration last month. I have 4 journeys outstanding.

I want to know if there is any European legislation similar to Section 75 in the UK? I obviously can't quote UK law when trying to claim back from the bank in Luxembourg. I am assuming that there must be something, otherwise us non-UK residents would be in a comparatively unfair position with regard to redress......
