I'm hopefully going to have a go at a couple of Xmas fairs next year too, good luck! If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

however I want it to be in a basket with a handle and hide a little pressie underneath (nothing expensive) and then plan a day out
That is fab Rusty and I think you'd get a lot more chocolate for your money than buying a big egg

Thanks Rainmac, I saw these up for sale for around £25 I think it was with postage on top  I know around easter you can buy the little eggs 3 for £1 so costs nowhere near as much
... I plan to do 3 the same, one for OH, and one each for the children. Want to fins a jigsaw each to put in the kids and then will find something for under OH's.
Now I just need to work on a day out for easter then easter will be all wrapped up!Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
I did retro sweet boxes for the teenage grandkids last year so I'll have to think of something a bit different this year.............baby grandson will be a bit older as well. Already got a lovely brown floppy bunny I found in the charity shop that will do for him..........just what to put with it.Mary

Definitely going to have a go at journal in a jar next year, saw this one http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=571440&page=2 in the gifts in a jar thread (post no 25) and thought it was really lovely - have my eye on some lovely jars in boots, full of smellies which I can use for hampers and the jars for journals, providing they go down to a decent price in the sale!!!!I want a perfect body, I want a perfect soul, I want you to notice when I'm not around0

Yep, after going OTT for the first time ever on gifts as for once we are not totally broke this year, I am already thinking of ways to spend less next year. One year I made my own massage/bath oils in lovely bottles and sent them as presents and I have been looking at all the fab ideas on here and can't wait to be more creative and thrifty next year for Birthdays as well as Christmases. Going to buy myself some more nice notebooks so I can have seperate ones rather than writing all these tips down higgledy piggledy and get all organised!June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

Retro SweetboxesLove is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?

Next year I will have at least 5 nieces and nephews to buy for (currently at 4 but little sis is due again!), so I have decided tonight that everyone will benefit from a really nice bottle of wine or spirits, valued at mo more than £10pp at the time of buying! It has gotten to the ridiculous stage and I was just commenting on how it doesn't even feel like December this year for me due to just returning from my (summer holiday in the cold) main holiday of the year, and never mind Christmas. I have to draw a line somewhere!!!
Don't get me wrong, this year some pressies have cost a lot less than £10pp but most have been a fair bit more........."Life may not always be the party you wish for, but whilst here you may aswell dance"!!!
