My Ipod is sooo frustrating, it will be thrown out of the window in a minute!!!!

Has anyone else got a 3rd generation ipod nano?

I dont know if it is just me, or just my ipod, but I find the click wheel thing really really hard to use. Sometimes I cant make the cursor move at all, then suddenly it will jump right down the menu.

It is so annoying, and I wish I had taken it back when I first got it, but I dont think I have got the receipt now, and it was several months ago that I bought it from argos. I am really disappointed as I always fancied an ipod, I just cant believe how hard it is to use!

I hate itunes as well, drag-and-drop mp3 players are so much easier!

Has anyone else had the same problem? I noticed they have a 4th generation one now, I wonder if they brought another one out so soon because this one had problems?

My fiancee has a 3rd gen Nano, and she loves it. You can always try restoring it to see if that helps things, or send it off to Apple to have them look at it. It may be faulty.

I'm not sure how you use iTunes, but when I use mine, it works as drag and drop. I drag the tracks I want and then drop them onto my iPod. Try manually managing your music on it.
  • Hi Lauranurse.

My wife has no problems with the wheel on hers but i have exactyl the same problem as you on mine. Its not faulty. Its maybe the pigs t!ts for digits we have. As for iTunes, i hate it!!!!!
  • Hmmm, I dont know what to do now. I was wondering if Argos would swap it for the new one if I could find the receipt, but there doesnt seem much point if it IS just me and I wont be able to use the new one either!

I have got really small fingers, so I dont think that is the problem lol.

Marty, I finally worked out how to itunes manually and it is much easier, but I still think they have made it more complicated than it needs to be! My sister has a cheap as chips mp3 player and to put music on it she literally just has 2 folders open and copies the songs from one to the other.

Thanks for your help both of you!

If there's a store near you that has iPods out on display, you might try going and playing with them to see if you have the same problem.

Well it would be nice if Apple gave you the option, but iTunes is designed for managing digital media, so I personally find it easier to use than just opening a folder up and copying stuff. The iPod Classic can hold 30,000 songs, so it might get a bit unweidly trying to sort through all that yourself.
Thanks for your help both of you!
