Fabric art

Can anyone point me in the right direction please?
I want to use some left over curtain fabric as a wall print - similar I guess to a canvas print in that its not framed and it is 'box like'.
Is there any step by step instructions to be found for how to do this and whats needed?
I do believe I have seen this done on possibly Property Ladder or 60 minute Makeover but I wasn't really paying all that much attention I guess!
Heres hoping

hi i googled your question and came up with the following
http://www.monalisa-artmat.com/canvasframes.htm
http://www.opusframing.com/library/pdf/stretched_canvas.pdf
http://emptyeasel.com/2006/12/29/how-to-make-your-own-stretched-canvases-for-painting/
they are for canvas but fabric would work the same way i think .. good luck with your projectIT'S ALL ABOUT ME!!!:j:money:0 -
You should be able to buy frames from Hobbycraft or the likes.
I was taught that if you wet the fabric when you stretch it it will stretch further and subsequently hold better.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I think if I was doing something similar I would just buy one of those blank box canvases that you can get dead cheap from wilkos or the like, wrap the fabric round and staple at the back with a staple gun.0

I've seen it too, I think it was 60 minute makeover.
The first two links in Carole.uk's message shows it done the same way, stapling in the middle of one side first, then the other side, then the two opposite ends. Once that was done they carried on stapling, leaving the corners 'til last.
I'm trying to find a way to do something similar with wallpaper I like but haven't fathomed it out yet.0
