DLA & IB and IS?

i have just completed the quick check to benefits entitledto.com and roughly says i wont be paying any council tax but think i must have done something wrong as sure i need to pay something. it says will get child tax credit which just started receiving friday as need for this whole shake up is that my husband has left me and we have no children together so will not receive any maintenance (son 17 anyway) but will suddenly be just living on DLA and IB and now child tax credit. it says hopefully will get some help with rent and even help with nhs charges through the low income hc1 form, what i am confuse about is income support, it says i should qualify but i thought you had to have either young children and be unable to work because of this or something similar???? have i got this totally wrong?

If you're in receipt of certain DLA rates you get additional premiums on IS -- so if your IB is less than IS plus these supplements you should be able to get a 'top up'. My DH gets high rate of both DLA components, and we're entitled to two IS premiums - one of £18.15/wk and one of £27.75/wk

So IB is £63.75/£75.40/£84.50 depending on your rate

IS for a single adult is £60.50, with the possibility of a further £45.90 in premiums - making a total of £106.30

If the OP is on hrc or mrc of DLA then they should get the severe disability premium with I/S as her son is only 17 and still a dependant,if there are any non dependant adults in the home then this wouldnt apply
