Wedding make up

Is anyone having someone to do their wedding make up, or got any prices for it?
Would be interested to find out what kind of amount it costs, I have no idea. It's not something I was going to bother with, I was just going to buy some nice new make up, but would like to compare the costs of the two.

My original plan was to buy a couple of products to get my free make up application by Clinique but now I'm getting mine done in a salon as my wedding venue is nowhere near a department store! I was quoted as much as £35 for just makeup, but am getting hair and makeup done for £40 per person. Have trialed the salon and all seems well. Thanks for the advice Martin! :money:Member no. 920 - Proud to be dealing with our debts0

My hair or makeup alone would cost £33, but getting both done for £50
I wasn't going to bother getting someone to do it, but to heck with it - I want to be spoiled for a day!

I'll either do mine myself, or go up to the local shopping centre and go to the make up counters and get it done on the cheap - I'll tell them that I want to try out their products for my wedding, but I won't mention the wedding is that afternoon

i wasnt going to bother getting my makeup done either, but have now changed my mind!! im going to have a trial for my hen do, and then decide if i want it for my honeymoon - i dont wear a lot of makeup, and everytime i have my makeup done i always feel like a clown, but thats been at makeup counters in boots etc, so im hoping that going to a day spa to have it done will be different!
i also want false eyelashes, and i know they will look a mess if i try to apply them myself!
the cost of the makeup at the day spa is £32, but im going to get my family to give me vouchers for my birthday, that i can save up for the millions of treatments i want before the wedding!!

I was going to do what blonde36er plans to do but I'm not sure I'll have time, so am definitely getting my hair done as that is more difficult and between me and the bridesmaids we'll sort the make up out!Got married 23rd May 2009, many thanks to all on the Weddings and Anniversaries board for their help and support!
