Ebay/Paypal Problem

Hi any ideas would be appriciated on this one:

I have bought a product from a seller in the US BIN who accepts international bids only payment by paypal, when i go to pay i get the following message

Transaction Cancelled

---

This seller cannot currently receive payments.

I have tried to contact the seller but 3 days and no response, they have ok feedback 530, with 97.3% but their feedback is private...they state they require payment within 7 days but not sure what to do next

'Private' feedback normally rings alarm bells in my head! I know some people just prefer to keep what they purchase private but in my experience you get a lot of sellers going private (as it were) because a few buyer have left scathing feedback about their poor service. The fact their Paypal account is unable to receive payments is odd too. Pehaps their account has been frozen by Paypal while they're in dispute with a buyer?
Stay well away & consider yourself lucky not to have handed over any cash. If the seller gets funny then all you have to say is you tried to contact them and received no response and that Paypal have told you that their account cannot accept payments at the moment. Not your fault :xmassmile
