Car hire included in holiday price too small for luggage!

I have booked a villa holiday for 4 adults and included in the price of the holiday is a car. The car quoted is a Peugeot 107 or equivalent which is 2 door, seats 4 but has room for only one case. Does anyone know if this is an "unfair" offer as we will have to pay quite a bit to upgrade to carry the luggage so its not free? I feel that the car is not "fit for purpose" as it won't take the luggage but the tour operator is not budging.

I understand what your saying but the operator has still giving you a free car, they will not up the standard of car unless you pay extra. It shouldnt be that much I wouldnt think to upgrade it

have they giving you a cost?

  • Thanks for your reply. The prices quoted for the car we would need is £160 extra per week. I have found cheaper deals to book the same car for less than £320 so probably won't even take the free car!
  • Could you not get 2 cars - the free one and another small one - it could give you extra freedom if you are 2 couples?

Where do you pick up the car - I've known some villa holidays where it's supplied with the villa itself.

In that case you'd have to get to the villa by some other means anyway
