Christmas Carol Singalong - Royal Albert Hall
Took the whole family to see this last Saturday and it was utterly fantastic! It's an annual event, so if you get the chance next year, book some tickets. I would have paid double what we did to see it, it was brilliant! It gave the kids a magical experience of live music and how an orchestra works, as well as letting them sing really loudly to songs they love. The atmosphere was magical, the Albert Hall is breathtaking, especially at christmas! Don't be put off thinking it's inaffordable, tickets started at £9.50 (we got a box for £200, but fitted 10 people in, so worked out at £20 each... bargain) and it was over 2 hours long.
Can't praise it enough! :snow_grin

I wish I had known about this - I love singing christmas carols.
Would love to go next year. Who did you book your tickets through? The world is over 4 billion years old and yet you somehow managed to exist at the same time as David Bowie0 -
Just realised you put a link in your title (how stupid am I?). Will definitely try and get tickets for next year. I love the fact that the songs include carols and modern songs. I have the most awful voice imaginable (worse than a cat being tortured my OH says) but I love to singThe world is over 4 billion years old and yet you somehow managed to exist at the same time as David Bowie0

booked them straight with the albert hall Box Office by phone on 020 7838 3109
and tickets went on sale in July (I think!) they do a whole christmas festival there... ranging from a candle-lit carol concert (utterly magical) to classic christmas songs... tonnes to do over the season... I'll be booking more next year I think. OOOh I can't recommend the singalong concert enough! :snow_laug0 -
