Ooooooh it's getting exciting!

As some of you know, in the process of getting my first place.

Yesterday I had through the contract, and all the other documents that made up an inch thick bundle to read through and sign.

Feel like it's getting close at last!

Still no completion date but am hoping for end Jan - as it's a 100% mortgage we're still debating whether the seller is prepared to exchange with no deposit, or whether we have simultaneous exchange and completion (eep!).

Read through it all last night and sent everything back this morning so hopefully solicitor gets it before her Xmas shutdown.

Touch wood, everything smooth so far.....

  • Good luck.
I am also on a 100% mortage so I'd appreciate knowing what gets decided & why.
Still wish I could buy a TARDIS instead of a house!

I know that simultanious exchange and completion may sound daunting but it is quite commonplace with 100% purchases. Take advice from your solicitor and trust his / judgement.

Best of luck withe the move !!!

Thanks Andrew - I know it's standard. Just daunting since I'll have given notice on my rented place. But having a week's overlap to get work done at the new place, so will have some buffer. :)

frugglewump - will let you know!
