Amazon T&Cs

ordered a Wireless router via amazon.co.uk on Sat
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00080K42Q/026-5208305-5479625?%5Fencoding=UTF8
£49.99 - router
£19.99 - USB adaptor (claim for free)
£29.99 - content filter (claim for free)
claimed my free USB Adaptor and Content Filter (since no T&Cs saying that you can not order both). it did give me the total charge of £69.98. since i needed the router pretty much straight away so i just thought that i would pay for it and they would refund me. and an email sent to them straight away.
had the reply in 24 hrs no problems. but the email didnt answer my question at all. so replied on Monday early AM, then no reply till now! but just checked my online status, it's now showing total: -£30.01. at the same time, a new email have arrived saying order despatched with total of £69.99. how confusin is that? ?? ? ?
called the CS, got through 3 times out of at least 20 attempts, the first 2 times i got cut off for no reason, and got the the final guy, that had no clue about it. put me on hold for 15 mins and got back saying they could not find the bit of T&Cs saying i can not order both for free, but at the same time refused to refund my £19.99 but i dont have to accept the item when it arrives so that they will give me the money back.
i just think it's not acceptable, not bcos of the £19.99, but there isnt clear T&Cs to support their refusal on refund and the bad customer service i have received. and this is my first order with them. (all screen grabs have been taken).

It's taken me twenty seconds to find the Terms and Conditions that say you can't have both free gifts, point seven of the T&C's state:"This promotional code may only be redeemed at our website, http://www.amazon.co.uk, towards the purchase of the 3Com Office Connect ADSL Wireless 11G (54Mbps) Firewall Router with 4 port switch and either a 3Com Office Connect Wireless 54Mbps 11G PC Card or a 3Com Office Connect Wireless 54Mb 11G USB Adapter (together, the "qualifying products") when the qualifying products are ordered together from Amazon.co.uk. "
The highlighting was added for emphasis.

I suggest you return one under your cooling off period if you want your money back.
Best,

this is exactly what the CS guy sent back.
the thing is that i wasnt trying to get the PC Card and USB Adaptor for free. but the USB Adaptor and the Content filter.
it wasnt stated in the T&Cs saying i can not get these 2 for free at the same time!
but thanks anyway for your time. in fact, the amazon CS alone with his supervisor couldnt even find it (they have admit over the phone)0 -
It could have been made clearer on the main page but you can't complain about the T&C when you obviously have not read them (they are 100% clear).

the 2 codes are different, and these are directly quoted from their own page.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/tg/feature/-/567100/ref=ed_qpe_dp_1_1/026-5208305-5479625Order the 3Com Office Connect ADSL Wireless 11G (54Mbps) Firewall Router with 4 port switch before December 31st, 2005 and claim either a 3Com Office Connect Wireless 54Mbps 11G PC Card or 3Com Office Connect Wireless 54Mbps 11G USB Adapter for free (excluding postage and packing). This offer excludes items bought from sellers other than Amazon.co.uk. Just add both products to your Shopping Basket and use this promotional code at the checkout stage: 3CMADAPTERCD.

Ivan: i really dont think it's that clear at all when you say it's 100% clear !0 -
Item six of the T&Cs for the content filter:
"Promotional code cannot to be used in conjunction with any other offer.""An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi0 -
You actually quoted the important bit (and it was also quoted above. The T&C says
'... and claim either a 3Com Office Connect Wireless 54Mbps 11G PC Card or 3Com Office Connect Wireless 54Mbps 11G USB Adapter for free (excluding postage and packing'
I can't think of any other way of saying this clearly.

But the OP is talking about the content filter NOT the wireless pc card."An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi0 -
I see now .. I misunderstood ... apologies to OP

Ivan
In any case I think the OP is wrong, as the T&Cs for the the free content filter say it can't be used in conjunction with any other offer (see my post above)."An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi0 -
thanks to you guys for the help. in fact, as stated above, that that CS guys could not find the bits on their T&Cs saying i can not get both...
but it still doesnt explain the fact that the final amount doesnt add up on their delivery status page. which i think i will write to them anyway
cheers again guys!
p.s. but amazon delivery seems to be a mess now, and my 'problem' might just seem like nothing to them at the moment. here is what they are worried about now http://itvibe.com/news/3810/ with loads of negative comments0
