im expecting the call any hour now..
I spent loads and racked up loads of credit card debt, yet not in the past year or so (but when i was pleasently rich, and gainfully employed rather than agency employed, i spent like a wild money having beast of a man),
I also sold assets to get my bankruptcy fee's.
of course, the OR will hear of this,
I cant help but think, that being reckless with money over the past few years, is going to come back and bite me on the !!!! this week...

anyone else been reckless and been caned for it?

I have not been caned yet, and I am not sure I was as reckless as you are saying you have been. I have not sold anything to get the BR fees, but you have done what you had to, to reach the place you are today, which is debt free.
My ex OH had large earnings so when all these loans amounting to £54k (inc cc and overdraft in that) there was no problem repaying them, I guess none of us know what is around the corner, my health failed so my IVA failed which is why I am going BR tomorrow. No one can know if the job we have will last and that we can keep paying the debts off.
The fact you have not spent in the past year or so I would have thought would have been taken into account by the OR, you had tried to curb the spending and lending, but the debts could not be repaid due to a change in circumstances and that is what I would tell him.
Hope it goes well for you.
