Hi, thinking of getting a digital camera for our daughter for xmas, we don't really want to spend over £50, as she's only 9 years old. What i need help with is do we buy one that comes with AA batteries or do we go for one with battery charger pack? - i think this is right?
Can anyone recommend any, and will i get a cheap digital with battery pack? we have a camera which takes AA batteries and i spend an absolute fortune on batteries, they only seem to last 5 minutes!! mind you it is quite old, are they better now?
Hope someone can help and offer me some advice, and the best to go for.:D

I would go for a camera that uses AA batteries, and buy a set of rechargeable batteries. The latest rechargeable batteries can keep their charge over a much longer period, and should power most cameras for several hundred shots. Older batteries tend to lose their charge when the camera is not in use, and their overall capacity (measured in mAh) is also lower. This is probably why you have been disappointed with your AA rechargeables.
Amazon are selling a set of 4 AA Hybrio batteries and charger for £6.99 delivered (using super saver delivery)
It's a bit more than £50, at £59.99, but this Canon Powershot A560 from Argos is a good camera, and it takes 2 AA batteries.

My digi camera uses AA, but i bought re-chargeable & charger in Argos..... Much better, Pack of 4 so i always have 2 spare so that batteries dont die at the crucial moment. You know your getting old when yougo to the pub sit outsideand admire the hanging basket
