Comfrey-Allantoin/Viridian

Curious for an update.

Any one else try this? - and if so, how did you find it? Did you persevere? Did you find it protected your skin? Did it calmed it? Has your skin been better? Did you even try it on bruises? Did you try it on eczema? (not sure that is recommended tho..).

I'll let you know my findings later :D

Well you know Im over the moon with the EB minerals and my monthly stress outbreaks of Seb derm are no where near as bad as they were. I still get them but less sore apart from the backs of the ears where I dont put make up. And the green corrector does a fantastic job of blotting out the high red
  • Hi Suki,

Its early days for me - cos my skin flares up when the weather is bad, or when I tend to need more make up - ie winter.

So far so good. I'm still using (and loving) the EB minerals, but I have also been using the comfrey continuously on my face at night since I bought it, even when I was on hols in Cyprus. My skin has never been better.

As said, it is still early days, but wish I'd had this stuff years ago... seems to be the answer for me.

Mind, my scalp has started to 'play' up - and did the nizoral for that this morning. I also have a patch of ezcema in the middle of my back that I can't reach... It flares up pretty much every year. I'm trying the comfrey on the bits that I can reach and it does seem to calm it down.

My skin is looking FANTASTIC as well, I need less and less make up daily and since using the OCM the oil slick is finally drying. I now get a glow rather then a river running down my face - even mascara is lasting longer.

The seb derm flare ups are getting more regular Im afraid - all stress related so Im having to use the shampoo and ointment a lot more then ever before, but apart from the ears its no where near as itchy and sore as it used to be. I do have to put that down to the allotonion in the EB.

Maybe I will try the comfrey around the ears at night

That does sound so painful - poor you. Try the comfrey - the Viridian one is very rich in allantoin - which acts as a barrier and protects from the elements (apparently) - seems to work for me. Its very greasy - so use sparingly! I have to change my pillowcases regularly, but I do try and put in on well before I go to bed to allow it to sink in, rather than smear it all over my pillowcases first! It is no use under make up! I only put it on during the day when am at home or when I was on hols if need be and wasn't wearing make up.

  • Blasted weather/stress/tiredness or whatever that aggravates skin this time of year.....

Tried a patch of ezcema with the comfrey and although it calmed it, it is still aggravating me today. I so wanted to avoid chemical steroidy type cream from the docs for a change...

Meanwhile, skin on face is ok!!
