Soz Guys,
I am so confused:eek:
I love boots and am trying to get the best out of it... but....
I have read loads and still, I don't know what................
a) A pinkie is?
A till spit?
Although I always get the vouchers out of the machines etc, I can never make hide nor hair of them really:p
I feel like an outsider, looking in...
I am sure I am not alone, would anyone spell out the basics? Please:o

Try looking at the first page of the boots threads. They are really good at explaining everything there.
but to answer your two questions
1) a pinkie is the nickname given to the pink £5 off vouchers you get when you spend £5 on just about anything (excl prescriptions & baby milk) instore. It's gives £5 off no 7 or ruby & millie.
2) a till spit is just what it sounds like. Sometimes the till gives you an extra voucher after your receipt. Just like at tesco.0 -
When you spend £5;)Try looking at the first page of the boots threads. They are really good at explaining everything there.
but to answer your two questions
1) a pinkie is the nickname given to the pink £5 off vouchers you get when you spend £10 on just about anything (excl prescriptions & baby milk) instore. It's gives £5 off no 7 or ruby & millie.
2) a till spit is just what it sounds like. Sometimes the till gives you an extra voucher after your receipt. Just like at tesco.'They only had one cow!'0 -
Thanks for this Guys, must have missed that on the first page, but it's been bugging me for ages! Anyway now I understand the lingo a bit better, gonna dive back into the Boots thread, with a new found confidence, and an overwhelming urge to spend spend spend!0

At the moment most stores issue a 'pinky' when you spend £5. This is a pink voucher handed over to you by the cashier entitling you to £5 off Ruby & Millie/No7.
Self service tills, and some other (usually smaller) stores don't give you the pink voucher, but rather a "till spit" which spouts out of the till along with your receipt. This is the same as the pink voucher giving you £5 off R&M/No7.
Both the pinky and the till spit have different barcodes so can be used together to get effectively £10 off. This is dependent on your SA accepting both vouchers, and can of course be used on the self service tills
