I always wondered what is the point of having an electronic keypad and a manual override key? Kind of defeats the purpose of the keypad.

incase the electronic keypad runs out of battery or a fault develops, saves smashing it up to get into it

I bought one some years ago. Fireproof, waterproof, bolt it down and a reasonable size. Not cheap though, but it contains all our wills/insurances etc.

I went out and bought one after BIL broke in and stole from us. Didn't get the money back, but OH did break his nose....

We have three. Two hidden and one with lesser valuables on view.
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.
