OP says workplace, not office - could work anywhere, not just secure office environment. A bit harsh on seller - could be genuine. I agree with other posts, hold off for further evidence, then give feedback.0 -
I'd go with the policy of watching seller's items for a while to see if the phone (or "coincidentally" an identical one!) is listed again, then decide what category of feedback to leave. If the phone is not relisted within the next few weeks, I'd leave positive feedback as suggested above.0

Well, I've sold low value items on Ebay and lost them and had to explain this to the buyers.Happy chappy0

I've had stuff go lost in the post, I've also had stuff go missing from my workplace too (it was being careless I've had it taken from locked drawers.2p off is still 2p off!0
