Requested ICESAVE money to be transfered YESTERDAY - will I get it?

I had a considerable amount of money with ICESAVE, - I requested the online transfer from ICESAVE to Halifax this Sunday afternoon, - up to now, Halifax hasn't got my money - who has?

Will I recieve it? My ICESave account is showing the the transfer as "processed" - will this process be frozen?

Very likely. But nobody knows for certain. BACS transfers take 3 days at the best of times, so you wouldn't expect to see it arrive yet.

did u do bacs or chaps?

myself and my father transfered by chaps at the same time last night. this morning my money has left the account but not gone into my linked account yet but my dads transfer says rejected and his money is still in his account. so i guess if it says processed its going through the motions

Will just wait and see and who knows? I've also made a withdrawal last night and my account today is showing my transaction has been processed.

I requested a transfer yesterday and my Icesave account's showing it's left my account, so hopefully it'll arrive.

I'm more worried about my ISA, though, as I've got a lot in it and that's not so easy to transfer. I did go to RBS (who've fallen 40% today, so no bank's safe!) on Friday and filled in the transfer forms, but that can take a month to go through so it'll be blocked now.

I couldn't just withdraw it as cash as then I'd lose the ISA wrapper.

Let's hope things work out ok...

Are you sure it wasn't rejected because he didn't leave enough in the account to cover the £30 CHAPS fee?

yeap sure. just checked it and theres £300 left in the account before taking the £30 out for the charge. all i can think is that the transactions were done first thing this morning an inbetween mine and my dads tansaction everything was halted

same here i did a transfer form yesterday. ill just get the money out asap regardless of tax. theres fixed rate accounts that are the same rates as isa's even after tax is taken off

I'm in the same boat and I think there's a few of us here. I transferred my ISA with a CHAPS transfer at about 10:30 last night, and a smaller savings account with a BACS transfer slightly earlier last night. Both are showing as processed in my statements, which I have now printed and filed.

It took a lot of deliberating before deciding to lose several years of ISA status savings, but on balance I couldn't take the risk for the sake of about 1% net difference each year.

A thought regarding the "rejected" transfer - Icesave shows 2 balances - "Processed" and "Cleared". It only lets you transfer up to the amount showing in cleared or else it rejects. I have found this out in the past, and as a result I have about £500 processed but not cleared that I didn't attempt to transfer last night.
