personality that 'you' don't find appealing.

seems the passenger, didnt like the personality of the security staff, and decided to argue with them.

So security staff, decided enough is enough.

It's not a case of not liking you,

the passenger had been told, and to go into a strop about it, sounds like classroom behaviour to me.

Just come back from town, and next to till, now there are notices

    stating
that, there is to be no abuse towards staff, as it will not be tolerated.

Absolutely keep the numpties off the airlines. If she couldnt follow instructions, and behave it was defo the right decision.

If you want to encounter Good airline security try flying El Al to Tel Aviv, and flying into Boston Logan the week after 9/11

None should act like that towards airport workers whether they're on the desk, the flight attendants or who ever, if you treat them nice then they will treat you nice back well thats my theory and it works some times

    Step by step:
    • The woman gave up her crackers...
    • We (the public) didn't see her arguing about taking the crackers so have only the airline workers say so that she was aggressive.
    • The only time we see her is when she is arguing with the manager at the counter, when she is understandably upset and stressed because she has been denied her flight.
    • They took her money to provide a service. They decided not to provide a service and didn't refund her money because of hearsay evidence.
I see something horribly unfair here. Who knows, maybe the flight was overbooked and that is company policy - pick a fight with a passenger to bump them off the flight.

If she got that upset for not being allowed to take some christmas crackers on board, then she seriously doesn't get out enough!
Can't understand why people get mad at Airline staff and then wonder why they're not allowed to fly - mmm, you've been rude/aggressive at check in so what we'll do is trap you in a metal tube at 37000 ft where you can make a journey unpleasant for all the other passengers and possibly compromise the safety of the aircraft.
    Well done Easyjet :T

One of the girls in my work went home to ireland to visit her parents for xmas and on the way back she was stopped and ask to open one of her presents up. (23rd December) She refused saying no its no getting opened until xmas as its from my parents. They said she wouldnt let her on if she never so she ended up giving them it (without opening it herself) and got on the flight without it. She was really upset by the whole ordeal.

They should be more considerate but i suppose anything can be a bomb. I saw on the news they were making them in 500ml juice bottles

Its getting a scary place now.

Mind you there is no reason to get abbusive towards staff as they are only human, working their jobs and doing what they have been told to do.

Treat people how you wish to be treated and respect people how you would like to be respected.

    so this wasn't shown

well it must have been bad, for security to remove her from a flight

maybe it was a good thing that it wasn't shown, to save the womans reputation
  • Isn't one of the questions they ask at check in "did you pack this yourself" I suppose if she didn't know what she was carrying they do have the right to ask her to open it?

my experience of security staff and ryanair/easyjet staff is that they are on a short fuse all the time, they have the power to stop you flying and are ready and can appear eager for an argument, they are not shopworkers who have to smile and put up with rudeness, they will bite back.

its a different ball game with these airline staff and the travelling public who often are rude as they are every other day , havent grasped that such workers have power and can get revenge for something they dont like in an instant

i remember an asian security girl who was on the end of a "shouldn't you be at home with the kids" sarcastic remark, kicked up such a fuss that the male traveller was surrounded by other security staff, humiliated and virtually made to grovel to be allowed through.

stroppy/rude travellers brighten up dull run of the mill days for securtiy/gate staff, they get a kick out of weilding power.
