What can be done???

Sounds like who ever stole the phone signed up for a load of premium rate texts.
He need to contact the network and get them to sort it. Their records will show when they were signed up for and then the network can take steps to sort it out and recalculate his bill.0 -
Since all the network has done is duplicate the customer's SIM to reprovide service, any ongoing subscriptions that have been subscribed to by the thief before the phone was originally switched off, will automatically be reinstated and the network has no control over these. It may be best to start afresh with a new number.0
