Need new home phone/broadband deal

Hello
I am totally confused. My head feels like it is going to explode with all the options. just wondered if one of you money-savvy folks could guide me through the maze.
Basically I am with BT Option 1 and also have their broadband so that is about £30 a month before calls. I want to get a better deal. I make most calls during the day but not an excessive amount and we also call Australia a few times a month but mainly to Australian mobiles, so not sure that catered for with international call plans. I was quite happy to look for something that covered that but then read about override providers and the like and that's when smoke started coming out my ears and I reached for the chocolate cake.
can anyone recommend me a good deal. I've seen the Tiscalia and Talk Talk deal but do these work with overrides? Is it better to get phone and broadband separate?
Thanks Moneysavers.
