Eats, The Mucha Its on the way to the Old Town and its fantastic. Its not cheap by Prague standards it cost us about £26 for a 3 course meal with 2 bottles of wine and coffees.
Go see the castle and walk across the bridge
The jewish quarter, the opera house. Best to do a 1/2 city tour then pick the things you want to go back to and havea good look.

Thank you "Saveapenny" or should that be "Saveakrona" - good sites, I cannot believe how cheap the meals seem to be, am I correct in thinking you get circa 40 krona to the £ ?

Sorry to be pedantic but Prague is the capital of the Czech Republic - Slovakia is a separate country whose capital is Bratislava.

    Anyway, have a great time!

If you want some traditional czech meals, I recommend Konvikt Restaurace at Batolomejska 11, Praha 1.

The food is fantastic as is the Pilsner Urquell! And your paying Czech prices not tourist prices here.
  • Hi
I'm looking for a Christmas present for my Dad. He's 81 so I want to be able to drop him and his friend off at an airport and know that he will be picked up and delivered to the hotel at the destination. I was looking at Prague and he likes the opera. Does anyone know any websites that offer 3 or 4 day breaks in Prague? Any dates but preferably when it's warm.
    Thanks
    Jackie

  • Try " 7 Angels " at Jilska 20, Prague 1 in the old town towards the river, not cheap but a very old restaurant and fantastic food and service. We also did a tour of the Old Town Hall and got a guide just for the two of us and it was facinating, it is next to the Astronomical clock in the square. One more thing you have to try the hot chocolate in any of the bars of cafes
    they are to DIE for
