Fritter - you do sound posh with your upstairs and downstairs bathrooms:D

When you have finished cleaning your place do you fancy coming to do mine? I can pay you with beef n guiness stew.
  • Hi Horace,

Hahahaha, I wish it was posh, nothing of the sort unfortunately.

The beef and guiness stew sounds great though, were do you live?

I am down in Birmingham Fritter - too far from Durham unfortunately:rolleyes:

Beef in guiness was made on the cheap:

Cheap rump steak (on offer in Tesco)
3 carrots (out of bag of 5 on whoopsie shelf in Tesco for 11p)
1 onion (it has been hanging around the kitchen for a month or so)
    A handful of pearl barley
A tin of guiness found in fridge (this was bought for someone who never bothered with it:mad:)
    1 tin value chopped tomatoes
1 tin of water (I used the water to clean out the tomato tin)
    black pepper
    dried herbs
Cook on low heat for 4hrs - take off heat (or out of oven) tip in some frozen peas, then back in the oven for about 10 mins - serve with spuds or even bread (again I used cheapo bread from the whoopsie shelf).

It makes loads and there is enough to freeze.

    Hi Everyone,

Well I have managed to complete the first coat of paint in my hall, stairs and landing. I have also managed to do some washing as well.

I am knackered now. Just having a rest before cleaning the house.
