Endowment Claims (Scotland) Help

Can someone help please. I have tried to complain about my endowment policy, but was told that because I was sold the policy by a solicitor I had to complain to the law society in scotland. I did this but it seems as if I have just been complaining about the solicitor and not seeking compensation for the policy. Does anyone have any experience of making these claims in Scotland? Any help/advice would be appreciated. The policy in question is a Standard Life Policy.

I don't recall the full details but there's was bit of a stooshie about this a few weeks back on the radio. Something to do with the fact solicitors misselling claims weren't being processed the same way as others as they weren't regulated like other sellers.
A quick search found this.0 -
Thanks for the replies. It looks as though the max I can get is £1000, although I don't think I will get anything as my fille has been destroyed and the law society cannot prove if I was mis sold or not as it is only my word against the solicitor.0

Been there and no joy.
I have an endowment for £54000 threatening to pay out £25000 sold by a solicitor.
Spent over a year fighting it with the law society but was refused as they say the solicitor fully explained I could lose money (totally untrue).
Seems there is nothing I can dotravelover0
