Egg Card Default - Wrong Date on credit report

in Credit cards
Hi,
Any advice much appreciated -
Way back when in early 2002 I was in a DMP which in turn lead to an IVA.
One of my creditors was Egg (2 cards).
Egg issued me with defualt notices in May/June of 2002, but having recently checked my credit file, they have marked the accounts as defaulted as of June 2006 - long after the IVA was well underway and the accounts being closed by Egg.
Whilst I am not disputing that default notices were issued (because they were), I need to dispute the dates that they have registered that the default notices were issued with the CRAs.
Unfortunately I do not have the original default notices, and as the Egg accounts are closed, I am unable to log-in on the Egg website to pull off the electronic notices from the secure messaging service.
Any advice as to how I can go about getting this corrected would be very much appreciated!!
