  • It's served with mashed potato and bashed neeps (mashed turnip);)

I wouldn't bother with the gravy. It should be moist enough.
  • It is traditionally served with mash potatoes and mashed swede/turnip. Yum.

Not normally served with gravy, its pretty moist when steamed or zapped in the microwave.

Not sure how long you would do slices for though! Normally just get a whole one and boil it.
  • wrap the slices( you can mould them to a fatter, dumpier shape) in a piece of chicken breast (which has been rolled with a rolling pin to flatten it) and then wrap a rasher of bacon round them. Either casserole them with Campbells condensed Mushroom or Chicken soup OR wrap in tin foil and cook in oven. Yummy!!

  • Neeps is mashed swede, not mashed turnips...

It won't need cooked long, as it's already cooked, you're just heating it through. Depending on how big the slices are, I'd be careful about steaming it, as it might just fall apart.

Why not grill it instead, and moisten it with a sauce of shallots, grain mustard, cream and whiskey? ;)

But you can do anything with haggis that you can with black pudding or sausage meat. Wrap it in filo pastry, deep fry it and serve with a red wine reduction. Bake it on portobello mushrooms, topped with blue cheese...

Fry it with sausage, bacon, black pudding etc. Its nice as part of a cooked/fried breakfast

Correct if you're English ;) What we know as swede, the Scots call turnip. What we call turnip, at least in my sister's Edinburgh home, is known as "small turnip" :D

Yummy Haggis! Bring on Burn's night!

Forget the gravy but usually copious amounts of whiskey (to salute the Haggis) are consumed (you also don't realise how dry/moist it is then ).
  • If its slices, a couple of minutes in the microwave. Its lovely with flaky pastry on top a dash of gravy (and a mean a small dash), buttery mash (with a small dollop of mustard through it) and believe it or not cranberry jelly.
