MBNA retentions

Hi there,

I've just called MBNA to try and get a good deal out of them. I've called their bluff (or they've called mine) their 0% for 7 months wasn't what I was after and cancelled the card.

I have alternatives, but can I expect a call back from the retentions team with another offer?

If you've cancelled (closed) the card that's it...card closed! They're not going to ring back with another offer.

I have noticed their offers are changing almost by the day lately. I've had 3 different offers (none suitable unfortunately) on 3 phone calls over the last 10 days or so.

Maybe a little hasty - but with good options elsewhere. I tried to close my other MBNA card a long while back. They never did.. which got me out of a hole in the end! I thought maybe the closure would trigger a bet offer. No harm done if it doesn't
