can a bank decide to close your account without warning?

Hi
I recently had problems logging in to the alliance and leicester site so i emailed to find out the problem. They informed me i no longer bank with them. I have had problems and have been overdrawn a couple of times but i haven't been woarned and i dont even know how much of my money they have!
Does anyone know what i should do?

I think they can close an account without warning if they suspect fraud.0
