My apologies. I did misread that.
I wont go back and alter my post above, cos otherwise the apology wont make sense.
As far as I am concerned tho, claiming benefits is nothing to do with having dignity or not. Its about whether one is employable or not. I really do hope as we steam headlong into recession that this whole "get a job" business will stop. My dad is possibly about to lose his job, and given what he does is rather specialist, and the area where they live, he is going to be pretty unlikely to find anything else in his trade. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

AOL to that. Nice to see it and a nice contrast.--
Every pound less borrowed (to buy a house) is more than two pounds less to repay and more than three pounds less to earn, over the course of a typical mortgage.0 -

Why don't we use Linz's excellent example and all of us start acting graciously.
!!!!!!, *DD puts out his hand*, I apologise if I went too far in the normal rough and tumble of debate within the housing getto and offended you.
Shall we burry the hatchet and go our separate ways, commenting on each other's post content but in a gracious way and not getting personal?

I'll be straight to the point - I have no time for you as your actions over the last few months have been despicable.
I'll continue to comment on your posts as I see fit and no doubt you'll do likewise.
People can judge for themselves if what we say is reasonable or not - that is if you haven't deleted your posts first of course.--

Thought so. Well I tried, and perhaps a few more eyes have been opened up with this latest exchange.
Enough of the 'victim' stance though eh, !!!!!!, you've plainly shown here that you actually enjoy the thread disruption and nastiness within the HPC subforum. I guess that's why you post here exclusively.
Anyway, adios !!!!!!, I won't be wasting my time with you again. Just be aware - when I don't respond to your digs it's not because you've 'won' it's because you're too small a man to bother with.

Oh dear - your 'gracious' act didn't last very long, did it :rotfl:--

you'll prbably find that DD offered to make peace with you and you refused so you can't really turn around and say that, that's unfair.
I will just be honest and say what I think of his behaviour here, which has been dispicable. If he continues to bait, I reserve the right to respond. If he drops the snide insinuations, I won't have cause to highlight them will I?
Since he's made a promise to ignore me, shouldn't be a problem. I suspect that it's more of an excuse to keep baiting and then act the innocent afterwards but time will tell.in light of that i shall offer my hand out and hope that you grasp it and accept that we will act gracefully and respectfully towards each other - will you accept that offer !!!!!!?
Acting 'gracefully and respectfully towards each other' should be perfectly normal. I'll be happy to continue acting in a reasonable manner.--
