Car dealers Costa Blanca

Having a holiday home in Spain, brings me to the thought of whether I should buy a car over there, and not pay out £300 for a months hire.
Can anyone point me in the direction of a chain (like Autopoint over here), who will sell me a 2 year old, perhaps ex rental car, with some manufacturers guarantee left.
I know that prices are higher there, and the buying process takes ages, but with family members going regularly, it may be the way to go.
Thanks in anticipation.

To be honest, you would be better off buying a new car in Spain, the ex-rental cars have had a very hard life in a short space of time.
No need for an ITV Test for 4 years.0 -
Car discounts on new cars in Spain don't really happen very easily....very different market and way of doing things.
There is an English guy working as salesman at the main Ford dealership in Denia on the C/Blanca...

...he's from Manchester, and will do a deal within the restrictions he has locally for the brand...if that helps. Probably a useful contact.
Hope that helps...“Official Company Representative

Don't know whereabouts in costa blanca you are but there is a fantastic little dealership in La Nucia. Its on the main road up to la nucia from the A7. Its been run for many years by a couple from England who will do absolutely everything for you including getting your nif number for you. Without this nif number you cannot buy a car or anything else thats "big" for that matter. Hope this helps. If I find their business name and number I'll post on here for you but it is very easy to find. Its on left hand side of very busy island before you get to La Nucia. Hope this helps0

Know who you mean Villajoyosa, think they are called La Nucia cars actually. They made a very difficult process very easy for me and many of my friends. Yes you do need a NIF number but they will get it for you. Think we only had to wait a few days before we got our little Twingo. Good Luck0

Thinking about it Dave, if you have holiday home then you will already have NIF so thats all good. Anyway, hope you get what you want. Have fun looking. :j0

Thanks villajoyosa and yvonneem, yes I do have an NIE number, we are in Murcia, which is, looking at the map, about 2 hours drive from La Nucia, which is north of Benidorm. If you spot a phone number for him, I will give him a phone call first. If anyone knows of a good dealer in the Murcia region, that would be excellent.0 -
Hi again, I used to have loads of business cards for La Nucia cars but I don't know where I put them. If I come across the number I'll post it. Have you thought about getting a left hand drive english or maybe Dutch plate? Only reason I say this is that the Guardia tend to leave you alone. So long as you're not running a business its perfectly ok to do that. There is an insurance company in Alfaz del Pi that will do all your insurance etc. They are very helpful and all staff speak English.
I lived in Spain for sometime and ran about in a Jeep Cherokie import from Florida on Irish plates. Only got a Twingo when I opened a business. My friends are Dutch and Belgium and they have used their cars from home for ten years or more with never a problem. Its just a thought.
Hope you get what you looking for.

As long as you are happy to take the UK registered vehicle back to the UK for an MOT every year, because the Spanish will no longer do an ITV on them.
Or of course importing them in to Spain, which is an expensive nightmare.0
