Hi, I'm a self employed sole trader (Electrician). I need to remortgage and also borrow more money against the equity in my house. I recently downloaded my credit reports from Equifax and Experium and they look fine. HOWEVER I did notice that there is no mention of any of my business trading accounts on these files, are these held on another file under my trading name and if so is my new mortgage lender likely to get hold of these files. Also if these files exist can I view them before applying for a remortgage.

There is no reason for them to have your accounts. Your mortgage company may ask you for last three years accounts on application depending on how much you are borrowing and how much equity you have.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
